Patty Fowler swept into our lives following our daughter’s Christmas engagement to a young man from Cairo, Egypt. We quickly realized this would be a wedding with a definite international flair and a few twists and surprises.  Besides the multitude of details, from dealing with long distances and cultural differences to special touches from local vendors, Patty brought to life my daughter’s vision of a “fairytale” wedding in a spectacular way.  Patty created a magnificent wedding weekend in unforgettable settings. Local venues were transformed into everything from a tasteful “Arabian Nights” themed rehearsal dinner honoring the groom’s heritage to a sophisticated “fairytale” reception.  Creativity, uniqueness and sophistication went hand in hand under Patty’s guidance with unsurpassed attention to the details. She is a true professional!

It could be said that any event, whether it is a vacation, wedding, or any other special occasion, is deemed successful if it gets better in one’s memory over time. Another criterion of a successful event is if guests continue to talk of the event as “the best they ever attended”, even after a period of several years. Such is the case of my daughter, Katherine’s wedding. From the very beginning of the planning process, Patty placed her heart and soul, as well as her experience and expertise, into ensuring that this would be a special, spectacular event. She worked with both my daughter and me as we discussed details and preferences. As Patty can tell you, sometimes mother’s and daughter’s opinions and preferences clash and are in conflict, but Patty handled compromises with skill and tact.

In fact, one of our guests has attended weddings all over the world, some of which have been that of dignitaries. He told me after the wedding that, by far, my daughter’s wedding was the best and most elegant that he had ever attended. He still tells me this almost three years later. Truly, people have highlighted different things as superlative, such as “the best wedding food they have ever had,” “the most beautiful flowers they have ever seen”, “the most spectacular tent they have ever seen”, and just all around, the best wedding and reception they have ever attended.

Patty’s attention to detail is legendary, and each wedding for her is the most important one. Weddings can be stressful, and, in many cases, disastrous. My daughter’s wedding was a fairy tale and the memory of it remains as such for all family and guests who were in attendance.
